Video Conferencing

Whether you're planning a one-on-one interview or an international conference with multiple locations, The Cable Center can support your video conferencing needs.

Our Polycom® conferencing units support both IP (Web) and ISDN (video), and can also be set up for conferences in multiple locations. We will work with you to do room sets, test the conference for peak performance, and ensure your meeting runs smoothly.

Web/IP Conferencing

Web (IP) conferencing uses the World Wide Web as the telecommunications medium for your audio/video conference: quality depends on the extent of Web traffic at the time. Cable Center staff will make every effort to ensure maximum clarity. All IP conferences are supported by Comcast High Speed Internet.

Video/ISDN Conferencing

Video conferencing offers the highest quality conference experience. It uses three digital telephone lines to send audio and video. Most ISDN calls run at 384kbps -- more than double that of an IP call. We can also set up a video conference with Web conference connection for participants who cannot view the video conference.

• Setup charge and testing fees will apply
• AT&T long distance charges will apply for non-local calls
• Multiple cameras can be set up for interactive conversations
• Presentation media (PowerPoint, DVD, VHS) can be hooked into the system
• A full-service technician is present throughout the conference to attend to any concerns

Be sure to ask about our video services that allow you to record your video conference for rebroadcast or posting online.
